Payment, Settlement & Milestone Policy
Effective date: 6 October 2026
Effective date: 6 October 2026
This policy explains how QuickQuid intends to handle project payments during the Founding Beta.
1. Payment provider
Payments are processed through Cashfree Payments where enabled on QuickQuid.
Where approved and enabled for QuickQuid's merchant account, Cashfree Easy Split may be used to manage payment splits, Freelancer/vendor settlements, refund adjustments and reconciliation.
QuickQuid does not independently operate a bank escrow service and does not represent itself as a bank or payment aggregator.
2. What a Client is paying for
A Client funds the digital professional services described in the applicable Project Pact or milestone.
The payment page should identify the relevant project/milestone and amount before the Client confirms payment.
3. Funding is not the same as settlement
QuickQuid keeps project states conceptually separate. Depending on the provider configuration and project status, an amount may be:
- funded/paid by the Client;
- pending provider confirmation;
- awaiting project review;
- eligible for settlement;
- settled/released to the Freelancer/vendor;
- refund pending;
- refunded; or
- disputed.
The exact movement of money depends on Cashfree's approved merchant configuration and settlement rules.
4. Milestones
A Project Pact may use:
- full upfront funding;
- milestone funding;
- deposit plus milestones; or
- another staged structure supported by the payment provider.
QuickQuid will not intentionally label a project as funded unless the relevant payment has been confirmed through the payment system.
5. Settlement to Freelancers
Freelancer/vendor settlements are processed according to the settlement schedule and capabilities approved by Cashfree for QuickQuid.
Where the provider configuration permits scheduling or holding before vendor settlement, QuickQuid may align settlement timing with project milestones and review states. Provider limits always take precedence over any conflicting platform display or expectation.
6. Platform fee
During the Founding Beta, QuickQuid's platform fee is 0% unless a different fee is clearly shown and accepted before funding.
If QuickQuid introduces a fee later, the fee basis and amount will be disclosed before the user commits to the relevant transaction.
7. Payment-provider charges and taxes
Applicable payment-provider charges and statutory taxes may apply depending on the final commercial configuration. Any amount payable directly by the user will be disclosed before the relevant payment where required.
8. Refunds
Approved refunds are processed in accordance with the Refund & Cancellation Policy and the payment provider's supported refund flow.
Where a transaction has already been split or settled, corresponding adjustments may be required before or during refund processing.
9. Failed or pending payments
If a payment is pending or its status is uncertain, users should not retry the payment until the existing transaction has been reconciled. This reduces the risk of duplicate charges.
10. Reconciliation
QuickQuid may use provider transaction IDs, settlement records, refund records, webhooks and internal project/payment records to reconcile payment state.
If the QuickQuid interface and Cashfree transaction state conflict, the payment-provider confirmation and reconciled canonical transaction record will be used to correct the platform display.
11. Support
For payment, refund or settlement issues, contact contact@quickquid.in with the Project ID, transaction reference and a description of the issue.
